  • What is the location

The address is 49 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2AP. The building I'm within is in Manchester city centre, close to Piccadilly Gardens and the Northern Quarter. Click here for the map.

  • What is the best way to travel?

The location is perfect for anyone working or living around Manchester city centre to be able to visit on foot. If you are coming from further afar then my treatment room is a couple minutes from Piccadilly Gardens bus stop and tram stop and is about 7 minutes walk from Piccadilly train station.

If you are a cyclist then there are plenty of places to lock your bike up outside the front door. You can also come by car if you need to and find a nearby car park but this is the least recommended option due to the congestion in the city centre. See the below question for more info.

  • Is there a car park?

My building does not have its own car park but I am in the centre of Manchester so there is plenty of car parks nearby.

The best place to park will be completely dependent on which direction you are travelling from due to all the one way roads.

I can recommend Port Street Car Park as that is nearby.

  • Is the room wheelchair accessible?

The main entrance to the building is not wheelchair accessible as there are about 10 steps to go up before reaching the lift. There is a back entrance that is fully accessible so please contact me if you will need to use the back entrance.

The building is a Grade 2 listed building so adaptations to the entrance way are quite restricted unfortunately.

  • How do I book?

The only way to book is via my booking system on this website. Click here to visit my treatment list where you can decide on a treatment and book in.

  • How long should I book for?

I always recommend booking at least 75 minutes if you are in need of a Full Body Massage. If you do not require a Full Body Massage then 45 mins or an 1 hour is sufficient.

  • How far in advance do I need to book?

This can change depending on the time of year. I'm much busier in the autumn, winter and early spring than I am during the summer.

Weekday evening and Saturday slots also tend to get booked up more quickly so I'd advise booking in at least a couple weeks in advance if you can.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, I will require more than 48 hours notice.

If less than 48 hours notice is given, the deposit will be non-refundable.

If less than 24 hours notice is given, the full amount will be non-refundable.

Please bear in mind that cancellations and reschedules can be really detrimental to my business, if you can give as much notice as possible that will be greatly appreciated.

  • Do you take cash?

When booking you will need to pay the 50% deposit online (you can also choose to pay the full amount) and then the final amount will be paid on the day preferably by card. I can take cash if needs be but I am not able to give change so it would need to be the exact amount.

  • Do you do any discounts?

If you are signed up to my mailing list you will receive a little birthday gift/offer every year.

I also sometimes put on little offers throughout the year, to stay up to date with these either follow me on instagram @massatherapy or contact me to sign up to my monthly newsletter.

I also have a loyalty card and on your 8th visit you can get 50% off - download it to your phone.

  • Can I get a receipt to claim back on insurance?

Yes this is no problem at all. I can send you a PDF receipt via email after the treament. Some insurance companies can be quite specific about what treatment you have so do get in touch if you need to check anything first.

  • Is undressing and consultation time included?

When you book a 1 hour massage you will get a full hour of massage. Any additional time spent chatting, dressing or paying will not be included which is why I always leave at least 30 minutes gap between clients (although this disappears quickly). If you've got any plans straight after, please allow an extra 10-15 minutes buffer time.

  • What do I need to wear?

When you come along to your treatment just wear anything that you are comfortable in. When you first arrive we will sit down and have a little chat about what you need and create a treatment plan. Then I will explain what you need to do and I will leave the room while you get changed.

The best thing for me and for the effectiveness of the treatment is if you are able to undress down to your underpants. You will then climb on the bed and cover yourself with the towel provided. I will knock after a few minutes to see if you are ready for me to come back into the room.

Once you're ready and I'm back in the room, the massage will begin. Part of our training as massage therapists is to learn how to adequately drape and undrape the body. So I will only uncover the part of the body that I am working on - it might be the back, or it might be one leg at a time etc.

If you don't feel comfortable getting undressed then that's absolutely fine, we can adapt the treatment to suit whatever you are comfortable with.

Also bear in mind that the Thai Yoga Massage is a treatment that is performed fully clothed as it involves a lot of stretching, so if you choose this treatment make sure you wear loose clothes that you can be stretched in.

  • Do you do couples massage?

As I am self-employed there is only one of me and only one table so I'm not able to offer massage to more than one person at any one time.

  • What kind of music do you play?

Depending on the treatment type and how you are wanting to feel I have anything from relaxing piano/harp music to chilled jazz, or soothing low-fi.

  • What's the best way to get in contact?

The best way to get in contact is by emailing me at frankietyler@massatherapy.co.uk or sending a DM to me on instagram @massatherapy.
