Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where is the treatment room?

The address is 49 Piccadilly, Manchester, M1 2AP.

The building I'm within is in Manchester city centre, close to Piccadilly Gardens and the Northern Quarter.

  • Getting Here

The location is perfect for anyone working or living around Manchester city centre to be able to visit on foot.

If you are coming from further afar then my treatment room is a couple minutes from Piccadilly Gardens bus stop and tram stop and is about 7 minutes walk from Piccadilly train station.

If you are a cyclist then there are plenty of places to lock your bike up outside the front door.

You can also come by car if you need to and find a nearby car park but this is the least recommended option due to the congestion in the city centre. My building does not have its own car park and the best place to park will be completely dependent on which direction you are travelling from due to all the one-way roads.

  • Accessibility

The main entrance to the building is not wheelchair accessible as there are about 10 steps to go up before reaching the lift. There is a back entrance that is fully accessible so please contact me if you will need to use the back entrance.

The building is a Grade II listed building so adaptations to the entrance way are quite restricted unfortunately.

  • What are the opening times?

    Monday: 1pm-8pm

    Tuesday: 10am-7pm

    Wednesday: 11am-8pm

    Friday: 11:30am-8pm

    Saturday: 10am-4pm

I only take bookings for 4 of these days per week as I retain one day free for admin work. My treatment room is always closed on Thursdays and Sundays.

  • How much does a massage treatment cost?

    45 min treatment - £45

    1 hour treatment - £55

    75 min treatment - £65

    90 min treatment - £75

    2 hour treatment - £95

  • How do I book?

The only way to book is via my online booking system.

    Booking Page
  • How long should I book in for?

I always recommend booking at least 75 minutes if you are in need of a Full Body Massage. If you do not require a Full Body Massage then 45 mins or 1 hour is sufficient.

  • How far in advance do I need to book?

Weekday evening and Saturday slots tend to get booked up more quickly so I'd advise booking in at least a couple weeks in advance if you can. If you are more flexible and can be available during the daytime in the week then you should be able to find available slots the same week, unless it's a particularly busy period.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booking, I will require more than 48 hours notice.

If less than 48 hours notice is given, the deposit will be non-refundable.

If less than 24 hours notice is given, the full amount will be non-refundable.

Please bear in mind that cancellations and reschedules can be really detrimental to my business, if you can give as much notice as possible that will be greatly appreciated.

  • Do you take cash?

When booking you will need to pay the 50% deposit online (you can also choose to pay the full amount) and then the final amount will be paid on the day preferably by card. I can take cash if needs be but I am not able to give change so it would need to be the exact amount.

  • Do you do any discounts?

If you are signed up to my mailing list you will receive a little birthday gift/offer every year. Contact me if you'd like to sign up.

I also have a loyalty card and on your 8th visit you can get 50% off. You can download the digital loyalty card to your phone by clicking below.

  • Can I get a receipt for health insurance purposes?

Yes, I can send you a PDF receipt via email after the treament. Some insurance companies can be quite specific about what treatment you have so do get in touch if you need to check anything first.

  • What should I wear?

When you come along to your treatment just wear anything that you are comfortable in. When you first arrive we will sit down and have a little chat about what you need and create a treatment plan. Then I will explain what you need to do and I will leave the room while you get changed.

The best thing for me and for the effectiveness of the treatment is if you are able to undress down to your underpants. You will then climb on the bed and cover yourself with the towel provided. I will knock after a few minutes to see if you are ready for me to come back into the room.

Once you're ready and I'm back in the room, the massage will begin. Part of our training as massage therapists is to learn how to adequately drape and undrape the body. So I will only uncover the part of the body that I am working on - it might be the back, or it might be one leg at a time etc.

If you don't feel comfortable getting undressed then that's absolutely fine, we can adapt the treatment to suit whatever you are comfortable with.

Also bear in mind that the Thai Yoga Massage is a treatment that is performed fully clothed as it involves a lot of stretching, so if you choose this treatment make sure you wear loose clothes that you can be stretched in.

  • Is undressing and consultation time included within the treatment length?

When you book e.g. a 1 hour massage, you will get a full hour of massage. Any additional time spent chatting, dressing or settling up is not included within the treatment time which is why I always leave at least 30 minutes gap between clients (although this disappears quickly).

If you've got any plans straight after, please allow an extra 10-15 minutes buffer time.

  • Do you do couples massage?

As I am self-employed there is only one of me and only one table so I'm not able to offer massage to more than one person at any one time.

  • How do I get in contact?

The best way to get in contact with me is by emailing me at frankietyler@massatherapy.co.uk. The second best way to contact me is by sending a DM to me on instagram @massatherapy.
